Today I am going to talk to you a bit about my trip to Chile last December. The purpose of this visit lies in O-Pitblast’s commitment to Quality Assurance and Customer Relations, more specifically with our dearest friends, and partners, ENAEX!

Our main contact and host was Diego Zenteno. He kindly took the time to write down some comments regarding this visit:

I visited ENAEX’s headquarters in Santiago as well as “El Romeral” mine, located in La Serena, to get direct feedback from the field operators! “El Romeral” mine was first surveyed and analyzed at the beginning of the 20th century. The total mine reserves are approximately 44.5Mt with 49.1% Fe.

The trip served as a way to guide and get firsthand impressions on how the technical personnel from the field use the O-PitApp and O-PitSurface software (if you would like to know more about this tool that allows operations to run safer and smoothly, check out this series of Training Videos. In order to accomplish our goal to improve continuously, I personally collected all requests that the staff would like to have incorporated into our solutions. Another goal was to ensure that all people involved do a better and safer job!
